Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone. A couple of things to mention:

Firstly, thanks to all who came to the Christmas meal. Hopefully everyone enjoyed it.

Secondly I’m afraid its membership time again. Fortunatly we haven’t increased the fees this year so they remain at £35 for full membership. Full details of this, concessions and the membership form can be found here.

Finally KCC are planning a w/e (5th/6th Feb) paddling in South Wales (Usk/Wye) that would be suitable for: intermediate paddles who want river running experience; folk ready for 3 star assessment and folk ready for 4 star assessment. Louise and Roger W need to know ASAP from anyone wanting assessing. Guy Davies and Paul Moore also need names of all interested folk so we can book accomodation (or not) depending on take up. The more the merrier and all are welcome.

Trasher: Chris Wheeler Memorial Edition

A year ago Chris Wheeler,  long time Kingfisher Canoe Club member, was tragically drowned. We have put together a selection of his writings for the club newsletter The Trasher over the years. We have also included photos, stories and reminiscences which have been contributed. We hope it goes some way to capturing the essence of Chris and why he was such a dear friend to so many of us.

We are making this memorial edition of The Trasher available to all who would like to download it here.
