This was a joint venture by KCC, PYCC, Abbey Sailing Club and Abingdon Rowing Club under the auspices of the Vale Watersports Forum.
“Vale residents are being encouraged to try something new this summer by joining in the fun at Abingdon’s Watersports Open Day. People of all ages and abilities will get the chance to try out a whole host of water related activities on 11 July thanks to the Vale of White Horse District Council, Kingfisher Canoe Club, Pathfinder Youth Canoe Club, Abbey Sailing Club and Abingdon Rowing Club.
Anyone visiting the Watersports Open Day will get the chance to have a go at kayaking, rowing and sailing for free, as well as having the opportunity to take part in competitions, watch rowing demonstrations and tuck into a tasty BBQ.”
