Under-18′s

DSC_2386_0713_edited-1KCC is a club for adults. In 1989, a club for youngsters, the Pathfinders, was founded by a few local canoeists. The two clubs have retained their individual identities and have different functions and aims. However, they work together to provide facilities for canoeing in Abingdon for people of all ages. Most of the adult instructors in the Pathfinders are individual members of KCC in their own right.

Pathfinders Youth Canoe Club exists to provide kayaking and canoeing opportunities for young people from 11 to 18 years.

The club meets at the club site in Wilsham Rd. Abingdon most Monday evenings between April and September. Club nights involve river trips on the Thames, Ock and backwaters as well as white water training on local weirs. We also train members for the British Canoe Union Awards.
