February Updates
Winter has definitely been around in the last few weeks, but remarkably dry, but this is not stopping us to get out on the rivers. And there is more to come. So here is a summary of the main dates to keep in your calendar for the coming weeks.

Open Canoe Trip on the Usk
Alastair Wilson is organising a Open Canoe trip on the classic section of the Usk from Talybont to Crickhowell, on the 19th February. For those interested, please contact Alastair. This section is grade 2-3.
Sandy’s Tryweryn Trip
Sandy Benchetrit is planning on a trip to the big T on the week end 3rd-4th March. This is great for paddlers of all level and is looking like a great week end. Sandy has now booked a bunkhouse accommodation. Cost of £20/night.
Dee River Festival
French Exchange
After the success of Argentan Canoe club coming to meet us at the Dart, there are talks of paying them a visit for a week end of good water and good food. I will provide further information once a plan has been drawn.
Surmanator’s Presentation
Dave Surman will be doing a presentation on his recent trip to Ecuador on the 22nd February at the Abbey Sailing Club (next door to the hut) from 8pm.

First Aid Course
For those who signed in, note that the first aid course is taking place on the week end of the 18th-19th February at the Abbey Sailing Club, next door to the club hut. Kick off at 9am.
