March Updates

2 Star Training

This address principaly to all people who did their improvers course last summer. You would have all by now, besides few exceptions, have had a lot of practice in kayak, but let’s face it, nothing much in an open. For your two star you will need to show capabilities in both opens and kayaks.

Louise will be organising sessions from the 28th March (from 6pm) for 4 weeks focused on open canoeing.
If you are looking to pass your two star at some point this year… do come along.

Wednesday evening are getting lighter

As you will be aware, summer time is back on next week. This also means more light in the evening, and with this a more regular wednesday evening paddle, from about 6pm from the hut.

Gentle but urgent reminder

As you will have all noticed, March is drawing to a close, and with that the benefits of being a club member for those who have not renewed.
From the first of April, the password will be changed, and you will no longer have access to the Trasher, nor have the ability to use club gear at reduced rate.

If you want to renew your membership, and you have not been provided with your form these are available from the website: https://kingfishercanoeclub.co.uk/about/join/

Send the form and monies back to the Membership Secretary: kcc.membership@googlemail.com.

See you on the water soon.
