Pool sessions are an ideal opportunity for club members to practice rolling and other skills in warm clean water. A selection of boats, paddles and spray decks are available at the pool. Anyone who is interested in helping out with coaching is welcome to come and help for all of or part of the session (e.g. 50% helping, 50% paddling). Please come along.

The Rules

Each session must have a BCU Level 3 Coach or UKCC Level 2 Coach in addition to the lifeguard.

All boats coming in to the pool must be thoroughly washed outside the pool entrance paying particular attention to debris, which will be trapped between boat and airbags. Last year the boat cleanliness was pretty good – thank you. The pool pumping system and filtration plant need to have a fighting chance so please don’t screw this up? No leaves please.

The total number of boats on the pool is limited to a maximum of fifteen although for some activities a lower number would be more desirable.

The use of balls to play games of any sort is not permitted.

Please be careful and ensure that boats are handled with care by people who are big enough especially in the area next to the window where the KCC boats are hung.

Outdoor shoes are not allowed on the poolside.

Please note that no one is allowed on the pool side until the designated life guard is present. The life guard must have a copy of the pool SOP and a whistle and stay on the pool side.
